ABA Teleconference

On August 13, 2009, Andrew B. Wachler co-presented an audioconference with Connie Leonard, Director of the Division of Recovery Audit Operations for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, for the American Bar Association. The audioconference addressed issues encountered during the Recovery Audit Contractor ("RAC") Demonstration Program and the changes made for the full implementation of the RAC Program. Mr. Wachler also discussed the appeals process for providers experiencing RAC audits and successful appeal strategies.
