Erin Liechty is an attorney at Wachler & Associates, P.C. Ms. Liechty’s practice encompasses all areas of healthcare law.
Ms. Liechty graduated cum laude from University of Michigan Law School where she was awarded the William J. Bishop Jr. Award for performing with distinction in the field of international law. She graduated summa cum laude from Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a B.A. in International Development Studies.
Before joining Wachler & Associates, Ms. Liechty focused her legal career on humanitarian immigration law. After law school, she spent six months in Cairo, Egypt working representing refugees from sub-Saharan Africa through the UNHCR refugee status determination process. After returning to the United States, she worked in New York with unaccompanied minors from Central America, most of whom were fleeing gang violence in their countries of origin. She later moved back to her home state of Michigan where she continued working with immigrant community and defended migrants from deportation and worked to help migrants find lasting protection and reunite with family. After five years of working with immigrants, she shifted her focus to healthcare law where she brings the same enthusiasm for protecting clients’ rights.
Ms. Liechty is admitted to the State Bar of New York.
